Taking into consideration the rapid spread of Covid-19 all around the world, we are praying for the best while preparing for the worst. At the moment, thirty cases of Covid-19 have emerged in Nepal, while already the country is in a lockdown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our skilled team is divided between England and Nepal, and while we are nearly 5000 miles apart, our hearts beat at the same speed. One family virtually walking hand in hand every step on the way, working towards the same goals at the same time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, we have already been working on our Nepal Covid-19 project<\/strong>, with hundreds of masks already made and with a target to reach 1000 masks since we started with this project. Our team is making them while staying safe at home, following strict hygiene & social distancing rules.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our main focus will be the most vulnerable communities first, starting from the Care centres for homeless elderly people. By protecting the most vulnerable communities in our society, we could help to protect our frontline doctors & nurses and minimise the possible collapse of the country\u2019s health centres and hospitals due to the sudden increase. Majority Covid-19 victims are elderly and people with underlying health problems. Lack of PPE has hit powerful countries around the world. So, we know for sure by now when Covid-19 hits harder it is beyond control.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So we have lovingly made these special reusable masks (3 layers of 100% cotton) for Aama & all the residents of \u2018Aamako Ghar<\/strong>\u2019, and provided along with food supply. Aamako Ghar(mother\u2019s House) is sheltering 86 homeless elderly women & orphans since 1999 in Kathmandu (eldest – 102 years old & youngest – just newborn)<\/span>. We have great respect for \u2018Aama\u2019 who selflessly dedicated her life and her own home to give safe shelter to homeless. We are so happy to receive their blessings and to see smiles on their eyes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are feeling grateful to be able to contribute to the fight against Covid-19 and we will continue to show our support to our workers and community as much as we can.<\/span><\/p>\n
