On the Monday\u00a0afternoon of \u00a022nd July, the SS team hosted an event<\/strong><\/a>, on this very special day, to introduce press and industry to the new boutique<\/strong> & showcase the luxurious, yet ethical & vintage<\/strong>\u00a0Audrey Hepburn inspired wedding gowns from the 2014 collection. Embracing the hottest weather & the exciting atmosphere in London many notable people in bridal fashion industry from leading bridal Editors<\/strong>, Fashion directors & stylists, to wedding planners, Photographers & bridal boutiques owners<\/strong> attended the event to celebrate with the team.<\/p>\n

The champagne and canap\u00e9s reception was held within our \u00a0first flagship London boutique<\/strong><\/a>, located on Walham Grove<\/strong>, Fulham<\/strong> which border line London\u2019s most pretty Chelsea<\/strong> to celebrate the launch\u00a0on what was officially the hottest day in London<\/strong> in a year.<\/p>\n

Holding onto her background Sanyukta has chosen to name the flagship store\u00a0\u2018Behuli\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0as a dedication to her\u00a0Nepalese roots<\/strong>.\u00a0Behuli translates as a ‘bride’ in Nepalese<\/strong>, a beautiful word that echoes the beauty of SS brides. Behuli will be an extension of Sanyukta\u2019s ethos\u00a0\u2018Beauty with a conscience\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>focusing on providing\u00a0luxury bridal wear<\/strong>\u00a0that is individual and ethical. Dedicated to servicing each bride as an individual with unique needs the team will\u00a0focus on getting to know brides personally, and understanding their needs before assisting them to find their dress.<\/strong>\u00a0By offering\u00a0bespoke and made to measure services<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0the Sanyukta Shrestha team hope to be able to assist every bride in bringing her wedding dream to life.<\/p>\n

Chilled\u00a0 champagne was served along with delicious freshly made organic\u00a0canap\u00e9s<\/strong> from Chef Sonya at Eco Cuisine<\/strong>\u00a0including\u00a0asparagus with a mustard vinaigrette, sweetcorn fritters with a chilli sauce, MSC certified sustainably sourced prawns<\/strong> with avocado in a salsa on little gem leaves, organic spicy mini sausages from Helen Brownings farm in Wiltshire. Refreshing….!!<\/p>\n

Within the 600 square foot store \u00a0houses her current\u00a0bridal collection<\/a>\u00a0&\u00a0SS Millinery collection<\/a>\u00a0along\u00a0with the\u00a0\u00a0handmade bespoke accessories\u00a0<\/strong>from Ana Maria Bufnila,\u00a0vintage boho headpieces<\/strong>\u00a0Gemma Sutton\u00a0and\u00a0luxury bridal shoes<\/strong>\u00a0from designer Freya Rose\u00a0to compliment SS gowns.<\/p>\n

The entertainment for the afternoon was the showcase of the\u00a0Sanyukta Shrestha 2014 collection<\/strong><\/a> itself.\u00a0 Models Debora, Laura & Nicole flaunted the new collection beautifully in a small Catwalk show. Sanyukta’s new capsule collection range is inspired by the iconic Audrey Hepburn<\/strong> with her signature twist<\/strong>. The collection featured seven simple yet striking &\u00a0daring backless wedding dresses.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two of our lovely models Deborah and Laura wore their hair up in intricate up-dos that Gemma created while in comparison our lovely fair haired model Nicole sported a relaxed boho vibe<\/strong> with soft loose waves pulled back to a small know at the back of the head.<\/p>\n

“I\u00a0particularly\u00a0love the detailing on the back of Sanyukta’s new collection, they are little daring but really beautiful and also when brides turn around you get that extra wow factor ” – Sally Dixon (Fashion Stylist)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

During the catwalk models showcased the designs with little bunches of home grown Lavender bouquet by pollen designs<\/strong> as a tribute to the purple organic theme<\/strong> of Sanyukta Shrestha’s new campaign Shot in Lavender Field.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Florist Rebecca from Pollen Designs<\/strong> created a fresh muted palette with\u00a0lisianthus, \u00a0 ivory & pale pink peony roses, David Austin ‘Patience’ roses and soft wild greenery including foraged tree ivy, home grown lavender, sage & rosemary to compliment decor of SS boutique<\/strong> as well as the collection.\u00a0In keeping with the elegant & timeless style<\/strong>, Rebecca created floral displays that were soft, natural and had a fantastic aroma.<\/p>\n

\"cupcakes-badass\"<\/a>Very well received Barbara’s Badass cupcakes<\/strong> were hit for the event which pleased many guests and received praise for its fresh & deliciousness with its stylish presentation and the Eco cuisine’s fresh organic canap\u00e9s<\/strong> were \u00a0well worthy of praise too. Both of these ladies were so dedicated to make everything so fresh for the guests, they prepared almost all of the food in 2 hours and ensured it was ready just as the guests arrived.<\/p>\n

Beside the boiling heat at 34 degree, it was all lovely delightful Monday afternoon as all our guests stayed patiently\u00a0all afternoon \u00a0for the celebration of the Behuli Launch. On departure invited guests were handed a Behuli by Sanyukta Shrestha gift bag which included one of the softest Nepalese handmade Pashmina Shawl<\/strong> and a fresh peony by Pollen Designs<\/strong> with organic eco friendly coconut water supplied by\u00a0 Ecos Beverages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
