It is an unbelievably beautiful story of Lucy and Ben, who met on a dating website, but their online relations turned into a fascinating reality when at the pick of Pigeon Island Lucy said \u2018YES!\u2019<\/p>\n

Their romantic wedding destination<\/strong> was a sandy beach in Jamaica, so our bride Lucy wanted something light and fitting the beach theme. It was magical experience to be able to create something so unique to suit her personality and her small intimate wedding<\/strong>. So the bespoke wedding dress<\/strong> was only the way forward. As soon as Lucy tried our Sanyukta Shrestha hempsilk gown<\/strong> she fell in love with the fabric. Hempsilk is regarded as golden fibre because of its extraordinary properties like resistance to UV light, mould, mildew, salt water and abrasion, besides, it is extremely breathable eco-friendly fabric<\/strong><\/a>! That is why it was perfectly appropriate for hot Jamaican weather and the seaside wedding ceremony<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nMOST MAGICAL MOMENT:<\/strong>
\nWhen I emerged from the leafy paths of Half Moon Beach<\/a> to see my husband-to-be and family waiting for me \u2013 the rain had stopped and we had this beautiful piece of beach all to ourselves.
\nTHE DRESS:<\/strong>
\nI felt that Sanyukta Shrestha wedding dress was the one as I felt beautifully light and I couldn\u2019t stop stroking the fabric. I was so proud to be wearing a bespoke dress that was not only an eco-gown, but was also a dress I\u2019d played a part in designing. On the day I felt so unique but elegant.
\nFAIRTRADE:<\/strong>
\nI was aware of eco-friendly clothing but had never invested in it. I knew I didn\u2019t want the typical fussy wedding dress that felt heavy and artificial, but I didn\u2019t know it was possible to find an eco-bridal gown until I met Sanyukta at a wedding fair. Now, I am proud to tell everyone that I went against the norm and bought a dress that was ethically made in Nepal<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

YOUR ADVISE FOR OTHER BRIDES:
\nGive yourself plenty of time and space to window shop and think about how you want to look, and importantly, feel. Don\u2019t feel pressured into looking a certain way. It\u2019s about finding the dress that works for you.<\/p>\n

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE:<\/strong>
\nYes \u2013 Something old \u2013 a necklace my nanny wore on her wedding day in 1946. Something new \u2013 my Tori Burch sandals (perfect for a beach wedding). Something borrowed \u2013 a pocket mirror my sister used on her wedding day. Something blue \u2013 my mum\u2019s garter from her wedding day in 1976 which my sister also wore on her wedding day.
