On a bright Tuesday in June the Sanyukta Shrestha<\/a> team left the bustle of London life to take a road trip up to Norwich for a very special meeting. The 2013 \u201cWallis in love\u201d<\/a><\/strong>collection from Sanyukta Shrestha took inspiration from the life and style of Wallis Simpson. So we travelled to meet the critically acclaimed author Anne Sebba\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>who\u2019s book \u2018That Woman: The Life of Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor\u2019<\/strong><\/a> gave not only a huge insight into the hidden life of Wallis Simpson<\/strong><\/a> but also endless inspiration and understanding during the creative process of creating the new collection.<\/p>\n

That Woman – By Anne Sebba<\/p><\/div>\n

In the intimate setting of Jarrold Store on London Street in Norwich city<\/strong>, a historical building with great character and endless style, we joined a group of admirers gathered in a comfortable environment with a complimentary glass of bubbly.\u00a0After a brief introduction, a relaxed and friendly Anne began a review on her experience of the researching and writing process of the\u00a0biography of Wallis Simpson<\/strong>. With much discussion from all involved, Anne was witty and entertaining answering everyone\u2019s questions and starting discussions ensuring that everyone felt completely at home. Afterwards Anne invited everyone the opportunity to have a copy of the book signed.<\/p>\n

During our meeting with Anne, she was able to look through our collection images of \u00a0Wallis inspired 2013 collection<\/a> including the \u2018Anne\u2019 wedding gown<\/a> dedicated to her. Clearly touched by the gesture Anne signed the image of Anne gown, a timeless gown that is flattering and demure.<\/p>\n

It was our pleasure to finally meet Anne and discuss our thoughts on the iconic Wallis Simpson<\/strong>. After putting in so much work to a new collection it is always a delight to spend some time appreciating the art and work that help gives inspiration.<\/p>\n
