Chemicals are shunned in favour of traditional bleaching, such as ash. The fibre is eventually hand-spun into fabric by the villagers.<\/span> \u00a0Nettle plants grow abundantly in diverse climates without the need for pesticides or excessive water, making them a renewable resource.
